HOW DO ICE ENERGY® SYSTEMS WORK?
During the evening, Ice Bear units store energy and collect moisture from your existing HVAC system to generate ice. As temperatures rise and your air conditioning unit begins to overwork, the Ice Bear unit’s temperature monitoring device takes over and begins pulling in the hot air that is going through your air conditioning unit, through a series of cooling coils surrounded by the ice generated the night prior. Rather than simply relying solely on your air conditioning unit, Ice Bear commercial ice battery units are attached to your main unit.
Essentially, your Ice Bear unit becomes the primary cooling device for a set period of time during the day. The ice that is created during the units charge cycle can generally take over for your standard HVAC unit for roughly six to eight hours daily, thus saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars on monthly air conditioning costs.
